Does anyone know the part number for the yellow handle for the secondary hood latch release? I am hoping that it can be replaced without needing a whole new cable assembly.

I think you need to buy the whole thing. I think the plastic is hot welded to the cable, however some look like its just screwed in. Maybe check a junkyard or online for a good price?

Ford sometimes uses same parts for multiple vehicles. I have no idea if this ebay one fits a Navigator, but if so under $30 isn't bad?.

Navigator and Expedition would use the same latch.
The Mustang one will not work.

However the base part number would be good.
-16700-

The search for Expedition latch may find more.

Oh and the latch is usually separate from the cable.

After looking at my Navigator, I believe I am wrong above.
The base part number of -16700- is for the hood latch.
The secondary release hand is separate from that.
There are two cables. One from the hood release in the vehicle. And a short one from the secondary release lever.

Without disassembling anything here are shots from my ride.
The last two are at the latch. First is with the secondary lever pulled to release. The last picture with the lever untouched.
Disconnecting the cable at the latch should not be difficult.

BTW the Expedition hood latch IS different.

I believe you will want to go to a wrecking yard after you remove your broken one.
