2003 TownCar Signature Power Steering Pressure Hose

Hi All,

Could you help me to buy the right Power Steering Pressure Hose?

I had my car inspected and they recommend me to change the Power Steering Pressure Hose. There is a small leak on one hose line at the very bottom of the engine compartment below the power steering fluid reservoir (it's a little bit wet). The car is functioning perfectly at the moment. NO checked light is on. My friend mechanics (for Honda) will help me replace it. However he's too busy to look and buy this part so he asked to buy it.

I'm a newbie so I don't know much about car. I try to buy it from Ford. There are a few options and I don't know which one I should buy.

There are a few Power Steering Pressure Line Hose Assembly and a few Power Steering Pressure Line Hose Fitting.

I wend to O'Reilly and they said I need one of the hose in the below link. However they are not original part so I am not sure if it fits well.

Dear Mod, please help to recover my post. I cannot see it anymore my computer (Window, Chrome). Perhaps an error happened after I edited it this morning.

By the way, I am trying to buy the right part for Power Steering Pressure Hose.

I'll bet you want to know whether it's 71" or 76", eh? Maybe your dealer can plug your VIN into their parts catalog to get the correct number. Might as well get a quote from them as well. Or, buy both and send one back.

Another is that when I search in fordparts for my specific car, it shows this:

After checking with the dealer, they said I should need this part:

It's quite expensive actually $170.

I find the equivalent one (from Motocraft manufacturer) from buyfordpartsonline.com for $112:

Is this safe to buy the part from buyfordpartsonline? I've never bought anything from there but if it's ford genuine part I think it's ok right.

Whether you purchased from fordpartsonline, or Rock Auto (my first choice) you can always return it if it isn't correct. I think what you linked to on fordpartsonline was just a single fitting, not the entire hose assembly. Just buy the two lengths from Rock Auto, and return the wrong one. If you're having a mechanic install it, he may have a preference for where it's sourced from.
