I am going through a 2003 Signature with memory seats. The forward function of the driver power seat was getting pretty weak, so I replaced the seat motor assembly. All of the other functions were working before the motor replacement.
When I assembled it all back together I was going through each function to see if it worked. When I raised the rear up/down function all the way up, it would not come back down, just relay sound type clicking coming from under the seat. All of the other functions still work.
At first I thought I had somehow bound everything up at the extreme up position, so I disassembled all the tracks again and reassembled in a more midpoint position. This time no movement as all, just the same clicking for up and down.
Any ideas, I assume the next thing to start checking is wiring.
Are there any stored max travel limits that the memory would store/track.....could that cease the function?
Thanks in advance!
