Hello, I have a 2000 Lincoln Continental. The exhaust system on the car has a major leak and it wont pass inspection in July due to this. The car is still giving me a lot of power. It sputters and smells of gas (although it's not leaking) when you open the hood. This started after this little $5 piece of rubber that holds up the muffler to the frame snapped and dropped it. The shaking is under the engine, not anywhere along the pipes. Any ideas of what to do or what it could be? Could it be cracked or have came out of place when one muffler fell? Thank you for viewing
