My Lincoln
1999 Lincoln continental
I replaced the radiator on my lincoln but previous a mechanic had attempted it and im pretty sure he didnt know what he was doing, he ended up disconnecting a hose and never put it back and now i have no clue where its supposed to go. Is there a repair manual or a diagram of where all the hoses are supposed to be connected? Ive been looking for a repair manual for days and cant see to figure this out. If i start my car seems like engine oil comes out of this hose also.PXL_20230110_155136963.webp

Welcome to the LOG.

Not exactly sure I understand the pictures. The first one is too close to understand where that hose attaches. The second one is better.
Is this towards the front of the engine compartment?
The hose looks like a power steering return line. And just guessing on that.
Has the engine been started with that hose removed?
What is the other end of that hose connected to?

Shop manual? There are a couple dozen for sale on ebay.

OK and you physically have the vehicle, Just track where the other end of the hose attaches. Based on what you have posted, I am assuming the hose is for the transaxle fluid cooling. That would be lines and hoses between the transaxle and the cooler in the radiator.

Since the radiator was replaced, that would make sense.

And with the transaxle fluid cooler line disconnected, the vehcile is NOT driveable. Or damage will occur.

Lastly IF the radiator does not have a cooler for the transaxle fluid, the worng radiator has been installed.

Where is the radiator in your pictures????
