1998 town car trailer wiring

Hello all,
I will be mounting a trailer hitch and small luggage trailer to my 98 Town Car soon. I was curious about where the trailer lights would have been connected had it been factory installed. Just want to do as clean an install as possible. Thanks for any help or advice.

The trailer light plug is normally attached to the hitch. An aftermarket Harness for the lights would run from the car's rear harness to the hitch

This should work and there are instructions you can download.
Typically the connections are made to one or both of the tail lights.
