A couple of times now, my Lincoln has stalled on me. Each time, I was going around 40 - 45mph and had to quickly brake due to a traffic light change or someone pulling out in front of me. It was like the engine still wanted to go 40 but was being forced not to. Like the fuel was being delivered for a higher RPM and flooding the engine (or the fuel being choked out). Each time, the car immediately started back up without further issue and ran fine.
My first guess was a sticky throttle body. My second guess was potential gunk in the fuel tank sloshing forward and momentarily choking fuel delivery. But before I drop the fuel tank or anything else, I thought I'd see if others in the community find this familiar and may already know the cause (or suggest others I've not thought of).
Thanks,
Brandon
