1994 Lincoln Towncar Signature driveshaft replacement options

So I have this old car still running but the driveshaft is heavily pitted with rust. I can't find an OEM drop in replacement. they are out of production.

That leaves salvage yards of maybe ebay.

Is it surface rust, or actual pitting? I woudn't lose sleep over the former.

Rust pitting may not be a reason to replace either.

A 30 year old driveline replacement, even used may not be easy to find. New or aftermarket the answer would be no.
And new is available. Go to a driveline shop and have one made for you.
Bring in the old one so they have a pattern to use.

And if there are no vibrations, my recommendations would be to drive it.
