I hate GM\'s!

I just installed a used transmission in my bros 2.2L 94 cav. After 10 weekends of work removing the tranny and installing a used one. it ran for 2 days then I\'m having a problem with the passengers side half shaft popping out I put it in by hand the last time and it popped out and was stripped so I exchanged it for a new one when i go to press it in I\'m able to pull it out with my hands. Is there something in the transmission that could be bad not holding it in.? I\'ve expanded the ring on the halfshaft and it just wont stay in the car. Anyone have any ideas how to keep the halfshaft from falling out?

I\'d say it has waller\'d the cup on the output shaft where the sir clip is suppose to lock. The only right fix for this would be to open up the trans and replace the output shaft. If you are looking for a cheap fix and are never wanting to remove the axle from the car ever again I would suggest cleaning the output shaft and axle end with carb cleaner to remove any and all traces of grease or oil and cover the splies of the axle with a metal based epoxy such as magnum steel and install the axle proped in place until the epoxy sets up. Now this is no where near the right way to fix your problem, but if you are just wanting basic transportation that would be disposable if it happens to break again....well what can I say.
