I am looking for a fuel sending unit for 89 Town Car with analog dash. My unit is not reading correctly. I have already sent it out for a complete repair but does not read correctly. The ohm reading I get with the unit on the bench are; 161 ohms @ full; 70ohms @ half; 16 ohms @ emply. Not sure if this is the correct resistance for this year, make model. I suspect at one point in time the unit has been replaced with a different sender. Does anyone have any picture and/or specs for this unit? Or does anyone have a unit for sale? Appreciate any help. Thank you. Ray K

It used to be resistance data for fuel senders was in the shop manual.
When I say used to be that was many decades ago.
Not sure if that is done any more.

Is there and in tank fuel pump?
If yes, is the sender part of the pump or separate?

Here is an Ebay listing.
I am cautious as this being the correct sender. E0LY 9275 B is a much older part than a 1989 part.

Thank you for the info.
There is an in tank fuel pump buy the sender is a seperate unit.
Yes this looks just like my unit except for the float. Mine is some sort of plastic vs the brass for this unit.
I have the shop manuals for my car and there are no listings for the resistance values.
I have ordered one of these and will check the resistance once I receive it.
Again, thank you for your help.
Regards
Ray K.

Thank you for the response.
My fuel pump is seperate from the sender. Another member sent me a listing from Ebay that "looks" just like my sender. I can only hope that the resistance values are correct.

Those numbers are typically 165 Full and 15 empty. So give the plus or minus nature of resistors you are seeing good numbers.
