I am offering for sale my 1988 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Series with 39,000 original miles. First off let me say that once a month during the summer months I drive this car 160 miles from Downriver Michigan to Lexington Michigan at highway speeds. This car is a driver. When you buy it you can drive it, with confidence. I bought this gem in Boston MA in October of 2010 and drove it home. I have since upgraded the following:
4 New Michelin Symmetry tires. The spare is original.
New engine belts
New radiator hoses
New heater hoses
Flushed the brake fluid front to back.
Changed the transmission fluid
Changed the oil every 3,000 miles. I did this twice.
New rear Monroe air shocks. The "auto-leveling" system works as new.
New wiper blades.
Two new hood lifts.
Flushed power steering fluid.
New air conditioning system R-134a Blows 45 degrees in 90 degree heat.
New water pump gasket and anti-freeze.
Replaced two rear window motor bushing. All 6 windows rise and fall silently.
Factory installed trailer towing package but it's never towed anything but it's own weight. The only option it doesn't have is a sunroof. Analog gauges are better then digital I believe. Combination leather / cloth seats. No, the drivers side door panel is not ripped!!
I did all of this so this car would be 100% road worthy, which it is.
This car has never spent one night outside of the garage, nor has it ever seen a snowflake. The undercarrage retains many of it's factory tags and chalk marks. It has it's original ignition parts such as wires, plugs, cap and rotor. It runs and sounds like a sewing machine. It's difficult to tell if it's running when stopped at a light. I did not, and will not, detail the engine compartment. I dislike those "armoral" engine bays.
I hand rubbed the paint to a mirror finish, that took me 12 hours over two days. The vinyl top is as new with all the stitching in place. I removed all 4 tires and inspected all the steering and drive components. I replaced the RR caliper as it was sticking slightly. The fuel gauge is jumpy from "full" to 3/4's. It will need a new sending unit. I'm offering the car for sale because I have a chance to buy a 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham and there is NO room for two cars of this size in my garage. The Lincoln is now covered up for the winter with the battery on a 1amp charger. If you are interested in the car I will look at all offers. I plan to have it sold by early summer and I'm offering it here first.
In short, this car needs nothing for you to fly in and drive home. You could live 100 or 3,000 miles away, the car will give you years and years of reliable service. You can check Kelley Blue Book or any other auto price guide and check the prices yourself. I'm looking to get "fair market value" no more, no less. It is not a 100 piont car but a strong 2. I have 27 photos posted on "Photobucket" for you to see. If you require more photos I "may" uncover the car or wait til spring to get them to you. PM me if you are serious and I'll give you my phone number and answer any questions you have.

A few photos..

Some of the photos that are in "Photobucket"
No matter how hard I try I can't get a photo that doesn't make the carpets look dirty. They are not. The car still smells new. Non smoker, ever.
