radio removal

Any tricks to removing the AM/FM stereo radio from a 1971 Mark III? I have been able to remove all of the mounting hardware and disconnect the antenna and wires but I cannot find any way to get the chassis out from behind the dash. There simply is not enough space between the lower dash...
