so about a month ago, a buddy of mine and I, replaced the OEM Intake on my 2003 town car (because there was a leak from a blown seal) and from fear of the intake itself being cracked I picked up the whole Dorman Intake kit with the gasket as well. The OEM intake has a cover/shield underneath it...

Hey all! I'm a proud new owner of a beautiful '07 MKZ. I'm very happy with it, but there's one small mod I was interested in trying. I saw a video on YouTube of someone who had done this and a couple of others responded to say they did the same... I'm looking to remove the air intake silencer...
