2025 Aviator front plate placement

Yeah that middle flat panel definitely has the collision avoidance sensors behind it so you can't mount there. I'd be curious to see pics of that side mount too if anyone actually got it working.

Here's my plate placement on my '26. Attached to the lower grill using only the top two screws. I cut the lower two nubs off the plate holder to keep the bottom from sticking out even more. I drilled small holes (1/8 ish) for the self-tapping attachment screwsFront Plate.webp

Thanks, I just tried a similar thing using this:

I'll let you all know if it works out alright. I paid $100. Not cheap.

Why not just throw the plate in the windshield? When I was living in Nebraska alot of people were doing that. Its still visible (theyd tuck the plate in between the dash and windshield so it would stay pressed against the glass and not rattle and be clearly visible) so it shouldnt be illegal and can be removed at any time without leaving holes in the vehicle should you move to a place that doesnt require the front plate.

I believe that in most cases it would be considered to be illegal, especially where the law requires it to be firmly attached to the exterior of the vehicle.
