2016 Navigator Reserve blend door actuators

Has anyone replaced a rear HVAC blend door actuator? It appears to be an easy, plug-and-play job but I know things are not always as they seem. There are two of them back there, and one of them (at least) is making intermittant clicking, popping, and soft clunking sounds.

I had that issue with my former 2016 Navigator. I had the dealer do the work so I can't help much on your inquiry.

I have on my second gen Navigator.
I was told the job was not easy to do.
That is not what I discovered.

I did this pre-COVID and I do not recall all of the steps.
I flattened out all of the seats.
Removal of the large inside quarter panel was most of the work. It was bulky and some of the fasteners were not the easiest to access.
After that it is not difficult.

I also had an issue with a door that was sticking. That is what stripped gears in the door motor. (actuator)
