My Lincoln
2003 Town Car
Hi gang, I'm still enjoying my 2003 Town Car. I'm wondering if you all could recommend some "spare parts" that would be wise to collect. I'm a bit of a salvage yard fan especially the pick it yourself variety. What parts that have high failure rates, or aren't produced by Ford or the aftermarket, would be wise to search for? A few that I've seen on the forum is DDM and sunload sensor; I don't think they are produced any longer. What else?
Thanks for you input.

The electronics like you mentioned DDM, LCM, Parking Module and sensors, oem radios, amps, especially THX systems, etc

Collect Motorcraft actuators if you can find 'em NOS. I'm legit glad for the chinese aftermarket (they produce items that otherwise we would not have access to), but unfortunately quality is pretty low (albeit corresponding to low costs). I have a 6 month old driver blend door already acting up.

Thanks to all for the insight. I'll collect some electronics as I come across them. Interesting feedback on actuators: I wonder if there actually is a stash of NOS Motorcraft actuators out there somewhere. (Also, I feel your pain on low quality replacement parts!)

Ebay would be a great source to watch for NOS parts
