You are right , i have been facing the same issue with global window open / close using key fob and this has happened after some recent upgrade.

I raised it to my Lincoln service team and they did some reset to this function , so from their on now for me global open works but not close.

Service team are checking for a solution to this case.

Open should work, close has been purposely disabled, at least for the phone app, part of the "solution" to the window pinch issue. Pinch had two aspects: 1. Closing force above NHTSA spec, before it would start to reopen; 2. How far it would reopen if a blockage was detected was too small to meet the NHTSA spec.

IF Lincoln actually fixed both the closing force and the reopening width, there is no reason they couldn't still offer remote close to work (both keyfob and phone app). Removing global close is a "patch", a hack fix.

I disabled global opening after I somehow accidentally opened all my windows. Luckily, it didn’t rain.
