Looking to buy 2006-2011 Town Car

Whoever’s telling you to get a Grand Marquis doesn’t know wtf he’s talking about. The point in getting a Town Car over a GM is mainly the styling, more interior room and softer ride. What shitty door panels are you talking about dude? Water leaks? That’s an easy DIY fix. No one in their right mind would get a GM over a Town Car, all things being equal UNLESS you actually prefer the style of the GM.

I completely agree and speak from experience. I've been daily driving Town Cars for the past 25 years, with the exception of a loaded Mercury GM (2007 with every option available). The MGM served me well for 4 years and filled a void, but there is a significant difference between the too, and you can't make the changes to the MGM. The sound deadening is nearly non-existent in the MGM versus the Town Car - at highway speeds almost seemed like a window was down (and there was nothing wrong with the weatherstripping, etc, car was in showroom condition). Also, the interior materials are a step change better (as they should be) in the Town Car. The MGM honestly isn't much different than a Ford Crown Vic. Also, MGMs all had 2.73 rear ends starting sometime in the 2000s while the TCs all have 3.27.
