Not true, they are extending into a 2026 model. Then the factory is scheduled for a complete revamp to the next greatest thing since the model T.

From what I've found, they only began production of the 2026 on Sept. 8th.

Here’s what we know as of 17 September 2025: The Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair are assembled on the same production line at the Ford plant in Louisville.

For the Ford Escape, the order banks opened on 16 June 2025 and closed on 2 September 2025; production started on 8 September 2025 or perhaps the week before if you look at the production dates of the few 2026 Ford Escape window stickers that can be found on the Ford.com website. Also, on the Ford.com website you can Build & Price and Search Inventory for a 2026 Ford Escape. Ford has confirmed that production of Escapes at Louisville ends the first week of December and all production has been scheduled through the last date.

For the 2026MY Corsair, the order banks opened on 16 June 2025, production started 8 September 2025, the order banks closed 12 September 2025, with all production having been scheduled through 1 December 2025, when the Louisville plant will close for retooling. If you go to Lincoln.com you can neither Build & Price nor Search Inventory for a 2026 Lincoln Corsair, even though third-party websites, such as Caredge.com allow such a search and find 2026 Corsair models at some dealerships. If you go to those dealership websites, some show inventory of 2026 Corsairs ‘ordered’ or ‘in production’ but not their window stickers.

Draw what conclusions you will!

My dealer wasn't getting any 2026 non-PHEV Corsairs, thus went with the 2025 Corsair last week before inventory drys up ... been great so far ...

Welcome to the Forum. 👋
It would be helpful if you added that vehicle to your profile so it shows in the margin.

Welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoy your '25 as much as we enjoy ours, it's nice to buy a vehicle after all the bugs have been worked out from the previous years.

The conclusion is the production line can build "X" number of Escapes and Corsairs between September and December and that the number of orders for that production window have been reached.

I'm sure Ford is like GM and the dealers use common order templates for the cars they order. Meaning, a dealer will pick the colors and all the options are pre-selected in some type of ez-order template. Between standard dealer orders and customer special orders it's not that hard to imagine all the limited production capacity for the '26s has been allotted.

My neighbor is a retired executive and orders a new vehicle year as part of his benefit package. He currently drives a 2025 Corsair and shared with me that he wasn't able to order a 2026 Corsair. I believe Lincoln is planning on building enough 2025 Corsairs by year end to carry them thru 2026 while the plant is being retooled for the new platform. Ford will try and convert Escape buyers to the Bronco Sport.

Which model, Premier, Reserve, GT, l, ll, lll? I'm curious as to what models will be made and from which plant. Thanks!
It was a premier. I don't think there will be a 26 GT? There are 0 showing being made or in transit

The Ford website shows inventory for Escape PHEV 2026 MY. If you look at the websites for Stevens Creek Lincoln, Bill Knight Lincoln and Warren Henry Lincoln you will see that they show upcoming inventory of 2026 Lincoln Corsair GTs. Unfortunately, the Lincoln website still does not show that you could have ordered a 2026 Corsair and does not give you the ability to search inventory for 2026MY Corsairs.

I'm looking at what we call 'locator'. Shows me all at the plant and all in transit as well as on the lot for all dealers.
2442 2.0 corsairs in one way or another being made or shipped.

Again In the entire country there is lierally ONE at the plant being made now.

So I have no idea what their true plan or intent is but it sure seems like they have very little desire to make GTs in 2026.

Lincoln’s lack of clear communication on model availability, timing, and pricing is frustrating for dealers and damaging to the brand. When dealers are left in the dark, they can’t answer customer questions or plan effectively — leading to lost sales and disappointed buyers. In a competitive market, this kind of disorganization drives customers straight to other brands that offer more consistency and transparency.
