During the warranty period they could not find why it was happening. I keep changing 20 Fuse. Can I put a 30? It is happening almost once a week now.

Don’t do that unless you want to turn it into a Hyundai (aka, garage fire. Haha).

It is blowing for a reason, probably a short in wiring, and if you bump the amperage of the fuse you won’t fix it but you will probably end up with overheated wiring in your door.

Yeah, you might have a fire if you go with over 20. Even 30 will probably blow since you have a short. If your alarm is going off and/or door ajar light is always on, then short its usually in the door jam or inside the door. You could try bypassing it by installing a magnetic switch on the door jam. This utube vid is amateur using illegal splices and quick connectors which is a no no..... but you get the idea. I went with a better magnetic switch and didn't tear apart all the wires. The most difficult part was to make sure I cut the correct wire. I don't think the wires from this 2007 Ford Edge is the same color as yours. Everything works as OEM and haven't touched it since I did it 4 years ago.

But if your vehicle's problem is something else, then this won't work.

Thanks JMAB! I am aware of that; I was just wondering if anybody actually read these.
But my point is that the dealership could not replicate the issue, and I have been having to replace the fuse often. And the car is no longer under warranty.
Thanks again for your reply,

MP, sorry for the elongated issue on this one. Electrical wiring gremlins can be a real PITA when it comes getting them diagnosed and resolved.
