2024 delivery schedule

Howdy everybody! I tried reading thru the last 10 pages or so from this thread… I can see why some are frustrated!
After a few days of dealership visits and a couple of test drives, I have put my name on a dealer stock order that appears to be in Portland.
The status printed by the Lincoln associate shows the following:

Primary: In transit
Secondary: Arrived Ocean - Voyage # 18444286365 (Hyundai Glovis Co ltd)
Vehicle location: Prt of Portland OR
Status Date/Time: Mar-01-2024, 08:00 PT
Start Date: Apr 10 2024
End Date: Apr 16 2024

Sounds like a long time to be in Portland? Any idea when I should expect it in Houston?
Thanks!

The best source of information for your vehicle is a system called VinView. Your dealer can access this system and have more precise details on the movement of your car. But given your car arrived on March 1st, I would think you should be looking at delivery around the week of April 14th.

But there have been others who've waited more and some who have waited less. Until we see what's going on with the Vinview, it's hard to give you any better timeframe than a generic estimate based on what we've seen to date.

Thanks Agogley. The VnView is a little more optimistic but it still shows in Portland as of a couple of days ago.

The screenshot you provided does not appear to be VinView. This appears to be the old order system view.

The main Vinview screen will be a map with your car showing as an icon in its location. Additionally, the "updates" tab will show more status updates. For example, after your car is received in Portland it should have "work started" and "work completed." Those are the status dates I'd be looking for before "Compound exit" and "VIN Loaded on Railcar." So if the work is not yet completed on your car then we will know it will take longer. If it is completed we should anticipate a railcar entry in roughly 7 days.

Thank you for that information! My Lincoln rep said that was Vinview. I will stop in tomorrow and ask her about it.

Thanks for that information. The Lincoln associate thought she was providing me with Vinview information. I will try to pursue this further.

Just be sure to set expectations and expect delays, the information give by your dealer and on this board is a best guesstimate. My car landed in Portland 2/19 and is still in transit, and I’m in So Cal, some much further away are getting better delivery times. My original ETA after it arrive to Portland was 3/13-3/19, now it’s 4/5-4/11 and I don’t even know if I’ll get it then - be excited but prepared to have your ETA extended.

Shopaholik that is a long time you’ve had to wait. I applaud your attitude and patience. It’s all out of our control so that’s the best way to handle the waiting. Would be nice if there was more transparency on the steps after arrival in port! Even the dealers are kind of in the blind.

12/18/2023 - I ordered my 2024 Nautilus Reserve 3 Hybrid Red Carpet w/Jet Appearance Package. DORA priority was 19.

3/29/2024 - Per dealer, the vehicle has been produced and is awaiting shipment. I haven't received any email updates from Lincoln unless I somehow missed them. I've been checking my Spam folder every day too. I decided to email my dealer today and was happy to hear it's awaiting shipment according to their system.

I only got 3 emails from Lincoln regarding my car. First was order confirmed. 2nd was about how supply chain difficulties may delay production. 3rd was VIN. That's it.

I think I only got two, your 1st and 3rd.

Anyone else had their Nautilus arrive in Portland on March 9th? Getting impatient… Shouldn’t it be jumping on a rail soon?

Several weeks ago, there was some speculation in this thread that another group of cars might be on the ship Neptune Barcelona for cars that showed an updated shipping date of 3/14. Has anyone been able to actually confirm this ship through any sources? It has a Portland arrival in 6 days.

Mine has been in port since Mar 1. 😳 what color did you order?

Very good chance, I think. We have another user here that had a departure 3/14. This ship matches that, is headed to Portland, made a few stops in Korea first, which we see often. We've been surprised before, but this one does have a good chance.

White w/ smoke truffle. Reserve 2. What’s yours?
Mine is currently red carpet. It’s not a special order. It’s incoming dealer stock.

So Lincoln and Ford dealerships are closing the ones that are combined. And then in that space either Ford or Lincoln will come back but alone. So every combined dealership will split up and go solo mode somewhere else.
My dealership is a Ford/Lincoln operation and there has been no talk of splitting it. It is in a small town and had been family-operated for approximately 70 years until a larger Ford/Lincoln dealership bought them about 5 years ago and kept all the staff. There are several combined dealerships in Ottawa and none have split that I am aware of.

The focus was primarily on larger metropolitan areas where there are already multiple dealerships. I don't think it would be warranted in your situation.

Lincoln had over 1200 dealerships just 10-15 years ago. They want to get it down to about 400, which is more in line with the quantity of dealerships for competing brands.
