My Lincoln
2022 Corsair
Just picked up my Corsair Reserve on Sat. What an impressive vehicle comfortable, quiet, and loaded with all the tech features you can buy. However, the engine compartment is just plain ugly without the engine cover. A luxury vehicle should have an engine cover. It finishes off the look of the vehicle So went to the parts department to order one and they said that part is no longer available to order??Can anyone enlighten me as how and where to get an engine cover? Plus, anyone have the part number for the cover and mounting studs? I read some earlier comments and it sounded like you could still order the part? So, I
am confused. Surely someone has the true story??

Fundo, here is a link to information from other Corsair owners about the engine cover:

Hope this helps.

I'm out to lunch here, Fundo, since this link refers to the GT engine and not the Reserve, so never mind. Sorry. It's been a long day. But after more than 4000 miles now, our GT continues to be an impressive vehicle indeed. May you have many enjoyable miles with your Reserve with or without an engine cover (hopefully with).

What engine? 2.0 or 2.3?

2.0 L. Found a Ford/Lincoln aftermarket parts supplier and sent them a message to see if they have the cover. I would think a Lincoln dealer somewhere has one in stock. Wonder how to find out? I'm a car detail fanatic. I detail it every time I wash it including the engine bay. Can't do much in the engine bay area without a engine cover.

Got mine from the local Ford dealer. Sorry, I don't recall the parts required, but if you look through the Forum from 2021, there are quite specific threads listing the parts req'd.(studs, nut, etc)

OK thanks for the help. Will try that route

2.0 and 2.3 take the same cover & parts. I ordered through Tasca Parts on line. A bunch of places on the web will have what you need. Attached pic shows all the parts with part #’s. Did you try providing your dealer with the actual part #s? You might get a different answer if providing part #’s rather than asking for “engine cover for 2022 Corsair” since it’s actually not listed as a 2022 part because they removed it as an included part.

Thanks for the info. I'll try Tasca parts. Just a question pix shows 3 different parts bags plus a clear plastic bag to the right which I assume doesn't apply to the cover?? So how many mounting studs are there, looks like 1 to me. Assume 2 of the bags are studs and washers?

You’re ordering 4 parts: the cover, a screw in ball stud, a screw in threaded stud, & the nut that fastens the cover onto the threaded stud.

OK thanks. E-mailed Tesca late afternoon with the 4 part numbers. I'll let you know what they say. I know one thing for sure the engine compartment is butt ugly especially for a vehicle approaching $60,000. It's all about saving a buck whenever they can.

I gave my Lincoln dealer the part numbers and they ordered them in for me. They also installed it for free. It only took them a couple minutes to install it.

It looks (and sounds) so much better with the cover.

Yeah, highly recommend the engine cover. I did it. Was installed in minutes by myself. Sound definitely reduced. No doubt about that. I cannot see where heat would build up as I have tested temperature readings before and after trips and found no difference in heat. There is enough space under the cover for air to flow so it's just a cost saving thing that they decided. They ought to allow the customer to pay for it which is what many of us ended up doing.

I put one on my '21, and it lasted 7 months, until the car was totaled. I pulled the engine cover out of the wreck, just in case I ended up with another Corsair. I DID, but the cover is cracked, and full of an oily substance, so I threw it out. I decided I don't need it this time. Yes the engine is ugly. My decision. LOL

Final follow-up question on the engine cover for my 22 Corsair 2.0. Someone on the forum gave me the part numbers to order for the cover/screws/studs. Took them to my local Lincoln dealer. He checked and said these part numbers were for a Nautilus 2.0 engine cover nut said they should work on the Corsair since it was the same engine? My question can someone confirm that the Nautilus engine cover will work on the Corsair? I don't want to order the parts unless I'm sure the cover will work

I added the cover to my '21 2.0, then it got totaled 7 months later. I am not planning on adding it to my '22 Reserve.

While I am annoyed that Lincoln deleted it, I am more annoyed with the interior changes that left the front door panels with hard plastic in the upper door panel on these high end models. The 20's have nice soft touch panels there.

I rarely open the hood and decided I don't car what it looks like in there when it is closed. :)

My Sales Tech said it was eliminated because they become a haven for mice etc. to set up house. He claimed that they had a model on the lot that had the cover on it and after they drove it around to show a customer, the customer asked to see the engine bay. He said the cover was all chewed from rodents. Not sure if this is urban legend or factual but I like to see covers instead of all the plumbing.

Sounds like typical sales rep BS. They cut it strictly to save a few bucks.
