Lincoln Forums Navigation:

Sysnc versus voice activated gps.

#3
This info only applies to MKZs, other models have different year cutoffs and different standard features.
From 2009-2012:
Sync (First gen) is standard on all MKZs. No touchscreen, just a basic text display.
The optional navigation system, with touchscreen, adds voice controlled GPS
THX upgrades to the better speakers/amplifier

2013-2016:
Sync with My-Lincoln-Touch is standard (shows a compass in the upper right corner rather than the navigation maps)
The optional navigation system just adds GPS to the existing touchscreen (also adds extra USB input)
THX upgrades to the better speakers/amplifier

2017-present
Sync 3 is standard (New less crappy touchscreen interface compared to MLT, but very similar in appearance)
The optional navigation system just adds GPS to the existing touchscreen
THX upgrades to the better speakers/amplifier

The 2017s have Revel, not THX.
