The coiled cable terminal has separated from the soldered connection on my rear window defroster of my 2018 Nav L. I’m guessing an over-zealous car wash employee hit it very hard then left it for me to find several days later making it impossible to blame it on the car wash who has a “don’t blame us for anything” liability statement.
Can it be re-soldered? Any special technique or supplies needed?

Hi dr w. There are repair kits available to reconnect the defoster wire to the rear window. And even better, they do not require soldering, as they use a type of conductive epoxy.

The repair kit is available at most big box automotive stores, such as AutoZone etc.. Just tell them what you need.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
