I have some instrumentals by Kataro that I put on a USB. When I played in the Lincoln, it translated Kataro into Japanese. Check photo below where the performer is shown just above the song's name, Cosmic Energy. No this is not a photoshopped photo and I did not enter his name using a Japanese keyboard. I did check, and it is the correct Kanji.

I wonder if that was just information that was embedded into the music's metadata that the Sync 3 software was able to access.

Hi AJ. I would tend to go with NJRonbo's theory that the information was embedded in the song metadata. SYNC 3 has no ability to translate song titles, and I would be surprised if SYNC 4 would even have that ability.

Good luck.

I looked at the metadata and could not find anything that looked like it contained the Kanji, but the reader may not have tried to open that data as it probably does not know how to interpret the data. If someone has a great metadata reader they would like to recommend, I will try it.

Hi AJ. There are many out there, but try "WinAmp". It is a music player for PC's. It can display the metadata, tags, allows you to add titles and other information to audio files etc. Not sure if there is a Mac version.

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion. Downloaded WinAmp and looked at the metadata. Nothing new showing. I saw more with specific the metadata2go. Still looking for the Kanji.
If I do a google search for Kitaro it returns the Kanji and a lot of other things- see below. Since my phone was connected to the info system, I wonder if it could have use a search.
