I never created a "guest" profile. Is there a way to stop it? It's a nuisance that I don't want to deal with every time I start the vehicle.

Hi Gordie and welcome to the Lincoln Forums. While we can not determine how the "guest" profile was created, all you need to do is delete it. Hopefully another member may be able to answer this question through experience or knowledge. Or it may be an issue which others here have not experienced.

Therefore, to speed things up for you, it may help to take the time to scroll through the customizable settings to learn some of the myriad features your vehicle has and how to delete a "guest" profile. And/or, take a look in the Owners Manual for the instructions on how to delete a "guest" profile.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Why is it a nuisance?

The guest profile is the default profile until you change it to something else. Go into the Personal Profiles section in the settings and change or delete it, but you might want to set one up: GordieO's Profile, with your own seat/mirror positions, radio stations, nav settings, driver assist settings, etc. You want to use that.

Set up your radio stations seat mirrors steering wheel position etc. press the number one button on the drivers door and hold it until it says saved. Then go into settings and profiles and create one with your name. It will ask you if I remember which pre set to use. Tell it number one. Then it will ask you if you want to link a key fob. Make sure you have the one that you use yourself with you. Say yes. It will tell you I think it was to hit the lock button on the key fob you want to link to your profile. If you have a wife or someone else that uses the car set number 2 to them and go through the same process with the other key fob. Now when you approach the car with the key fob it will detect it and set it to those settings. The third one I renamed park with all the same settings as my number one except the passenger mirror points down to see the rear wheel. I named that one park. If I’m cutting into a spot I hit number three and it loads park so I can see the curb. Once parked I hit number one again if this makes any sense. Otherwise it’s all in the owners manual lol
