Agree with premise. Once the screen-surround upper right button has been pushed to activate, Autohold stays active even through ignition off-ons.
On my '17 Continental, the Auto-hold disengages every time I turn the ignition off. I have to re-enable it every time I start the car.
I was wondering if there was a way to make it on by "default" so I would not have to turn it on every time I turned the car on.

I agree with others, if I engage auto hold it will still be engaged when I start up the car the next morning.
There might be an engage/disable option in the BCM.

I believe there is an Auto Hold check box in the vehicle selection menu.

If you find the Lincoln Embrace has stopped working after a Sync 3 upgrade, system re-set or battery replacement and the system fails to operate the approach lights , or only works for a moment, as you near the car, try re-setting the as built data via Forscan:

BCM

726-32-01 xxxx xxxx ??xx

?? is the number of seconds you wish the lincoln embrace to last in seconds , 20 is usually enough.
