Anyone having problems Lift gate tail light holding water/ condensation?

Hi jlt. Defects sometimes happen. What year is your vehicle? Still within the 4 year/50,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty?

If yes, call for a service appointment and it will be repaired/replaced (according to the amount of condensation). A small amount of minor condensation on the inside of the lens can be considered normal, if it also dries out on its own.
If it is heavy condensation or actually holding standing water, then it needs to be repaired/replaced.

If outside the 4 year/50,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty, you can either replace the leaking housing or try to locate the breach and seal it with silicone sealant.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Thank you I’ll ask my local dealer to look at it’s a 2017 and is under 50,000

Hi jlt. You are very welcome. Definitely have your Lincoln Dealership take a look.

However, just to be prepared: The 4 year/50,000 mile (whichever comes first) New Vehicle Warranty begins the day the first owner purchases the vehicle. You have less than 50,000 miles, but are you also under the 4 year warranty limit?

When did you purchase your Lincoln? Are you the first owner? If you purchased used, you need to find out the "In-service date" of your vehicle. That is the date the first buyer purchased it, and your Lincoln Dealership (or any Lincoln/Ford Dealership can provide that information.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
