LED Interior Lights

I think something is funky with the 2016 Sync3 because that does change the locking and unlocking due to a diff system ( was told about this when I was looking to make an extra FOB outside from a reputed Fob duplication company) I even left just one Led and still did it. I will have to see if a Phillips LED works. If not, I will give up. FYI, the 3rd row LED is still in and its not causing an issue.

Just installed LED interior lights. 2 first row and 2 in second row. 2nd row was a little more difficult. Be careful prying off the clear lenses in second row as they could easily break.

Am I missing something on the third row light? It’s not the same type of bulb as the others and the LED doesn’t fit right in. It’s a cylinder shaped bulb and fits in just like a fuse would.

Also, I switched out my puddle lights with LED. I couldn’t get my puddle lights to go on with the old or new bulbs. When are they supposed to be activated? When you unlock your car correct? I’m still hungover from last night so that could be the problem too ;)

I took apart the second row floor light thinking to switch out with LED but there’s already LED in them. Added the pics if anyone was interested how they come apart. Would be nice to have them brighter.

I put a LED strip on the back of my electric scooters too.

Ok I see the third row I need a different type of LED. The two suggested a few posts up are out of stock. Will they both work? You guys know if there’s an alternate available on Amazon?

The 3rd row LED is the one you showed in the picture. Any alternate solution should work. I infact have LEDs only in the 3rd row. For the 2nd row, it is best to open the entire handle housing with a TORX screw driver. It is very easy to deal with the lights in the 2nd row that way unless you are really careful and not paranoid about scratching /breaking the housing.

I had to swap back my first and second row back to stock because it was screwing up my lock and unlock with the fob (It maybe a 2016 and up Sync3 issue).

For the mirror puddle light, you can see them switch on when you unlock the car OR when you open any of the doors even when the car is on. just be sure to isolate the positive negative connections as you can see, the stock light housing only had connectors but the aftermarket lights come with extensions for positive and negative connections.

Also, why are you swapping the interior lights which are ambient light bulbs? They can change color and are part of the ambient lights. Your E-scooter looks fun! I wish I could get one but would be totally useless for 6-8 months in the year in the mountain climate.

Now you tell me it’s a TORX screw lol. I couldn’t see all the way in there and I could tell my philips wasn’t grabbing it. Taking those two screws out vs prying the lenses on 2nd row would be best.

I only changed out my map lights and 2nd row entry lights. Will do the 3rd row when I get the right led.

Mine never switched on before or after I switched lights. The connectors looked exactly the same with the new LED lights. Look at the pics. Don’t know what the prob is with them.

Having a blast on the scooters! 30mph and a long range. 3F41787F-2DA6-4FB0-ABF9-C2F3B79B0F30.jpeg
