Leather repair?

I'm not even sure if this would be considered a split or crack or cut or scrape, but there are two spots on my
back seat that have recently developed and I'm sure with the regular use they get they will get worse.
Any thoughts on what to do with them other than make the children walk along behind the car?

Also, my drivers seat is showing pretty normal quarter million mile wear but it is accelerating, anything to be
done with it at this point? The leather is still pliable and generally good looking.

I am mighty tempted to source a rear seat from a salvage vehicle to install and keep the wear and tear down
on the original, big part of why we have this car is hauling people around but I despise seeing something
nice that's survived this long be worn into the ground, and telling them to be careful is like talking to a wall.
