I have a. 88 TC. Problem started with engine surge and a jerking feeling when driving. That got much better after changing out the IAC sensor. All seemed good but it seems to be coming back. The engine is weak at start up then smooths out but still has a slight sputter/ miss . The codes I'm getting is obd1 54. as I was before I changed it out and also code 98. Have I gotten a bad new sensor or is it something else not working properly causing this sensor to read incorrectly? EGR value maybe?
