My 2022 Plug-In Hybrid Grand Touring Aviator has been in the shop for 3 weeks.
It developed the following message upon startup:
"Charging System Service Soon". I wondered if this was the alternator for the 12 volt battery, or if it was the charging system for the high-voltage hybrid battery. So, I pulled out my trusty multi-meter and determined the alternator is fine and the 12 Volt battery is fine, so it must be the high voltage system.
So off to the dealership. My car has been there for 3 weeks. They say they are in contact with Ford Motor Company, who has had them do many tests, and eventually told the dealership to order a new 12-volt battery (I'm surprised - it tested fine). They ordered the battery, and 2 days later it was delivered -but was the wrong part.
Then the ordered one over-night, it arrived yesterday, was installed, and solved absolutely nothing.
The message continues. The dealership doesn't know what to do. It appears Ford Motor Company doesn't know what to do.
