Does anyone know of a shortcut or workaround to set the Aviator alarm system to "perimeter only" without going into the main screen and progressively opening four windows to adjust the security system setting? It's hard to believe that the Sync engineers who defined the default parameters of the security system would make it so cumbersome to change upon exit. Unlike our Expedition that displays a message offering the driver the option to make a similar change every time the engine is shut down.

Was the thought at Lincoln that the drivers of seven or eight-seat Aviators would never lock their cars with people or pets inside--even for a brief moment? This option could be paired with the warning to check for back seat passengers when you key off. Ideally, when that warning displays, it would be the optimum time for a one-touch feature allowing the driver to go directly to the security settings...but then again, it might require another 'chip."

It can’t be done on Fords or Lincoln’s. After being manually done, a key cycle turns all alarms back on. We get many complaints about this option. It’s a feature that should be able to be permanently turned on or off, and isn’t.

I selected "Perimeter Sensors" to disable the Interior ones when I had my dogs. They would set off the alarm when left inside (not in summer). Now that they are gone, I changed the setting back to All Sensors. It's all in the Settings under Alarms. When I select Perimeter, the picture shows the Interior one being deleted.
UPDATE: I just checked the settings and it does seem to default to All Sensors with a key cycle. I wasn't aware of that so I guess it can't be done unless FORScan has an option for it.

It works on mine. See my reply above.
I have since updated my reply. I never checked the settings again after changing them.

We understand the rationale behind the default setting to all sensors, but it should not have to be so difficult to change. But then again this isn't the only strange operation Lincoln uses--electronic door release for example.

I have a new 2023 Aviator after having a 2020 for a few years. In the 2020 I set my alarm options to show up on the Driver screen so that I could choose which sensors I wanted to use once I turned off the car. The new 2023 doesn't allow me to do that anymore and it seems it doesn't have interior sensors anymore since I had my dog in the car for a few mins last night and the alarm never went off. As a note, I can't find any Alarm settings in the info screen settings anymore.

What does your window sticker say? I know every 2023 I looked at had it deleted.

I wonder if that was part of the Enhanced Security Lite feature that was deleted?
