Hi,
I'm looking at a 1977 Continental Town Car and a a '79 Continental collector Series. Are there any problem areas I should be sure to inspect before purchase or any options I should look for or stay away from?

I know about rusty rear bumpers.

Tks

Rust above turn signals near tip of fin, you will get your best view if your remove a turn signal lens. Rust around vinyl top rear of doors and above trunk, (some times you can press on the vinyl and list for any crackly noises). Beyond that there is all the typical wear and tear items. The interior plastic will get brittle if its been in the sun, you can look for a crackling on the surface of the plastic.
