Lincoln Lawyer with 1979 Lincoln Mark V Turn Signal Problem

    Remove this ad
Good afternoon to my new family. I have just acquired a 1979 Lincoln Mark V. I have a problem with my turn signals. I replaced and or checked every fuse and I still have headlights, break lights, and flashers. However when I use my turn signals, they do not work at all. I am thinking that since the turn signal switch or handle is also the switch or handle for the tilt steering wheel, my problem might be there!! HELP, I need suggestions and again my new family, THANK YOU!!

    Welcome to the forum!

Do the lights come on, but do not flash? Or not come on at all? Do the hazards work?
I would check the flasher relay. There are two relays, one for flashers & one for hazards. They are both the same, so switch the two & see if the flashers now work & the hazards do not. If that's the case, you have a bad relay.
