I need to change the wheel cylinders and rotors on my 1994. I can't find any marked as "fronts".
Are the front and rear cylinders the same?

http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....188862&jsn=442 Or the piston that fits into the caliper? Rockauto shows many different makes for the caliper and the front and rear are different see list here: http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/l...b,caliper,1704
The rotors are quite different since rear includes the drum for parking brake, front is just a disc.

And I also see they list rear rotors. That leads me to believe that rear disc brakes were an option?
Regarding Michele's question, your car could only possibly have wheel cylinders on the rear brakes. Front disc brakes (using calipers, not wheel cylinders) were standard on all Lincolns since the early 70's. If your mechanic is referencing wheel cylinders, that would only apply to the rear brakes...as long as your car has rear drum brakes & not disc. There's no rear wheel cylinders used on Lincoln rear disc brakes, to my knowledge.
