DEARBORN, Mich., December 7, 2017 – Good ratings in all five crashworthiness tests as well as a good rating for LED headlights help the all-new 2018 Lincoln Continental qualify for a coveted TOP SAFETY PICK+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The last paragraph dealing with the headlamps says "the Continental’s LED projector headlights earn a good rating ....." the stock headlamps are the HID Projector and the optional headlamps are the LED so that extract seems to combine some features of each type into an apparent standard headlamp. The Projector headlamps combine a HID lamp with a movable housing that allows either low beams or high beams. The LED headlamps take a different approach by lighting different parts of the LED elements for high and low beams.
