I just wanted to post some photos of my recent project, I have been working on my 2003 Signature I saved from the scrap yard a few weeks back and figured I would post a couple photos of my progress refinishing a wheel cap that was extra corroded and pretty much destroyed. I am in the process of stripping and painting the wheels the same way as they are absolutely trashed from neglect the previous owner put the car through. I think the first one came out great, and the color is extremely close to the actual factory color of the wheels.

I love seeing ppl take interest in doing things the right way and doing it yourself! Nobody cares about your car as much as you do!! Beautiful job and job well done!! Awesome!! The factory " Chrome" type coating was bad and I see some autos just a few years old coming off. These cars cost almost 50k. And now some cars and trucks do and more and still coatings coming off. Come on Ford spend some of that moldy money on your coating dept please!! I've seen autos that have never seen snow, salt or rain with wheels looking rough! Grills are another bad part to bubble and lose its shine in pieces. And it costs a good bit to get rechromed!! You made it look brand new!! And save alot doing it yourself! Hopefully this will inspire more ppl to take a chance and fix something you've been wanting to but are afraid or worried it won't turn out as good as you want. You can do it! Let's keep these great machines going and looking great! Get out there and research how to fix or make stuff look better. You'd be surprised how simple and cheap it is instead of just buying a new one of anything. Thank you EricHowat. Awesome job!!
