My 98 lincoln continental is loosing pressure, a friend of mine had a 97 which was tboned but in fairly good shape. I was wondering could i take the engine out of the 97 to replace the 98..... does anybody have any info on that, or succeeded in doing so.

The one difference I can think of is the 98 is coil on plug while 97 has coil packs and plug wires IIRC, so you may have to swap valve covers.

The 98 cowl is different, since the windshield extends further forward - probably easiest to drop out the bottom, maybe swap subframes if the other is not bent - keep the spare transmission!
