    MKS 3.5L towing 4 down

Roadmaster nor Blue OX doesn't make a base plate for the 2014 3.5L only the 3.7L.
Roadmaster said that the 3.5L has shutters on the front that the 3.7L doesn't.
And they haven't been able to get a use of a 3.5L to make brackets.

Is this true about the shutters? And what do they do? Can they be disabled?

I want to tow one, but don't want to drive the 3K plus miles one way to the factory for them to make one.

Does anyone know where the 3.5L shutters are located in the front?
    Bottom area? Near the top?
    Left/middle/right?
How big are they in size W/H?

Does anyone on this forum even have a 13-14 MKS with the 3.5L?

Found out Blue OX does now make a base plate for the 3.5L

And there is a good installer within 55 miles of me.

All 4 wheels on the ground while being pulled behind a Motorhome.
Towed it that way last summer for around 4K miles. No problems.

How did you make out towing 4 down? Any problems?
How do you get it in neutral and does the harness keep your toad's battery charged?

I have went through 2 summers now pulling it. No problem getting it in "N"
I have a separate charge line from the MH house batteries to the MKS battery.

I am still having a problem with that sometimes after 2 days of towing. Sometimes I still get a dead battery.
Really haven't figured out what the draw is as the brake system on the MKS is ran from the MH air system so no 12V draw there.

I put a diode in the charge line this winter. So I won't know until next May if that helps or not.
I may need to put a charger on it every night while at a campground. I got a new 10AMP charger to do that with a 25' cord.

Or I may run the cord to the charger from the MH. As I usually run the generator after 3-4 hours to cool a portable freezer or if it is hot out to run the AC's.
